The #RJKWORLDTOUR Podcast is a podcast that covers all things travel and backpacking. In each episode, travelers share their stories and experiences from from all over the globe. Whether it is doing a working holiday visa in Australia or New Zealand, volunteering in Africa, or exploring South America, nothing is off limits.
Having spent my first 21 years living in the UK, I used to think that life was about working all year and then going on a ‘Lads’ holiday for a week to Magaluf, Aiya Napa or some other party island.
At age 21, I went to work in New Jersey, USA for a summer through the Camp America program and it changed my outlook completely. I loved spending time in a different culture, different country, learning new things and learning about myself. I met some like minded people who became life long friends and I had the best time of my life. At the end of that summer, I completely changed my life plan.
Rather than having holidays that consisted of a week of drinking and having largely unproductive days, I wanted longer, more adventurous, more challenging and more valuable experiences. I have have been able to have many of these experiences in Asia, Oceania, North America and Europe and I continue to find them.
